Built from interruption. Rebuilt through ownership.
Mark Allen is an independent hip-hop artist, songwriter and producer born and raised in South New Jersey and now based in Breese, Illinois. His work centers punchlines, layered writing, lived experience and long-term ownership.
After an earlier independent era and a five-year interruption, Allen returned with Born 2 Be A Legend, released April 5, 2026. The 20-track album moves through survival, fatherhood, conflict, addiction, loyalty, humor, ambition and creative control while serving as the flagship catalog for the current Hustle Legend Records era.
Allen also founded Hustle Legend Records to connect the music to a longer-term structure: catalog documentation, radio, direct-to-fan tools, licensing, artist infrastructure and business systems built around rights clarity.
